CES helps leaders overcome their toughest day-to-day challenges. ![commercial-icon](https://ceseng.net/hubfs/commercial-icon.svg) ### Commercial The architect who is designing high-end office space needs an MEP partner who understands that poorly placed electrical panels will ruin design. The developer who is revitalizing a downtown warehouse into mixed-use needs a responsive engineer who is accurate with their 3D modeling (BIM). The construction project manager who is expanding a medical clinic requires an engineer with experience, a pragmatic approach, and professionalism. The campus planner who is tasked with modernizing the campus infrastructure needs an MEP master planning expert who can ensure the campus grows sustainably. The director of facilities for a large suburban school district needs an engineer who designs HVAC and electrical systems so in-house staff can maintain and repair without downtime. The county administrator overseeing a new regional public safety building needs an engineer who understands the intense public scrutiny to ensure the project is complete on time, within budget, and meets all state mandates. A procurement officer for a major city who is tasked with vetting long-term contracts to upgrade police precincts needs an engineer with a proven track record in the public sector and designs for the longest possible service life for every taxpayer dollar spent. CES has over 50 years of experience partnering with state, county, and local municipal agencies. We specialize in MEP and fire protection design as well as commissioning for public safety facilities, judicial centers, and administrative buildings, ensuring full compliance with requirements set forth from the North Carolina State Construction Office (SCO) and/or North Carolina Department of Public Instruction as well as public bidding laws. How does CES handle the unique security needs of government facilities? For "Critical Environment" projects like law enforcement centers and detention facilities, CES integrates specialized MEP systems. This includes high-reliability emergency power, secure HVAC zoning to prevent cross-contamination, and advanced fire suppression systems designed for high-security areas. Does CES design sustainable systems for schools and universities? Yes. We are leaders in sustainable educational design, having engineered systems for the first LEED Gold school in the U.S. (Third Creek Elementary). Our designs focus on geothermal heat pumps, high-efficiency lighting, and energy recovery systems that reduce long-term operational costs for school districts and universities. How does MEP design improve the learning environment in K-12 schools and higher education campuses? At CES we have implemented hundreds of "Learning Environment" engineering projects, which focus on acoustic control, indoor air quality (IAQ), and thermal comfort. By reducing background noise from HVAC systems and ensuring proper CO2 ventilation, our MEP designs help improve student focus and teacher well-being. ## Ensure your systems perform as designed from day one to year thirty. Put CES’s engineering expertise to work on your next project.
